GKN Driveline receives Volkswagen performance award
CELAYA, GUANAJUATO, Mexico, 22nd September 2009
GKN North America received a highly coveted performance award by Volkswagen de Mexico based on its performance, cooperation, commitment and dedication during the past year at an awards ceremony held recently in Puebla, Mexico.
One of only 14 suppliers that received the Volkswagen Group Award for the NAFTA region, GKN Driveline North America was nominated by Volkswagen’s purchasing, technical development, logistics, quality, service parts; engineering and production departments for the award.
“GKN Driveline is honored to receive such a prestigious award,” said Fidel Otake, operations director, GKN Driveline – Mexico. “We take great pride in providing Volkswagen with world-class technologies and performance.”
“We are passing through a process of consolidation of our supply chain,” commented Otto Linder,
president of the Executive Board of Volkswagen de Mexico during the event. “Volkswagen de Mexico is
restructuring our suppliers list and those who have been distinguished with excellent results will
be our strategic partners in this consolidation.”
